We are a grassroots organization dedicated to creating sustainability and employability in the lives of homeless individuals in the greater Wenatchee Valley.
We have succesfully completed the first of three steps in our vision: A garden that supplies produce for the Women's Resource Foodbank and the licensing and marketing a fresh salsa. The salsa is sold at four store fronts as well as the Wenatchee Valley Farmer's Market.
The second step is the creating of a job-training facility for the homeless. This will be called Host Caribbean Cafe & Catering. The cafe is slated to open Spring of 2007, first as a mobile food unit and eventually a restaurant. We began catering events in September 2006.
The third and final step of our vision is a transitional housing facility for in-tact families. Slated to open 2010. Here we will provide housing and life skills training on a 20 acre piece of land which will have individual housing as well as community center.
